We are delighted with the work carried out by Beacon to our property. The new extension has transformed our living area, opening up the new kitchen into the garden and giving us a lot more space for family life and entertaining. All the Beacon team were very helpful and responsive responding to requests or any changes we made in a constructive way. The onsite team were very polite and easy to live with for the 3 month duration of the works; clearly explaining the plan of what would be done each week. We stayed in the property for the duration of the build and they were thoughtful about minimizing the disruption to us as much as possible, and overall we felt the project went very smoothly. We would not hesitate in recommending Beacon to other clients for similar projects.

Our initial site visit gave us ideas for our loft that we hadn’t even thought possible. The quote we received was competitive and we appreciated everything being itemised and transparent in the paperwork. The best thing about using Beacon was that all project management was taken care of, from suggesting surveyors for any party wall needs, organising an architect for our plans, preparing council documents for building regulations, and of course organising the team to undertake the building work. The only things left for us to worry about were where exactly to put our power sockets and whether to have our new shower room tiled in a straight or brick fashion! Our team did an incredible job of cleaning up every evening before they left, and their checks as to whether our baby was napping when they were about to undertake particularly loud work was an added level of thoughtfulness that we couldn’t have asked for. Thank you for making the work as stress free as possible.

We are very pleased with the outcome of our renovation work from the team at Beacon. The quality of the build was excellent. Space and ceiling height were maximised to give us a beautifully bright, airy and spacious extension as well as two very decent sized bedrooms and a great shower room in the loft. Beacon have been happy to sort out any post build issues – without hesitation – giving us peace of mind that the work really is guaranteed.

We love the extension and have been enjoying the space that we now have.  We also look forward to having the space to entertain family and friends this Christmas too.   Even the garden is looking good after the dry summer.   Thanks once again, to you and the team for all of the effort that you have put in this year we really appreciate it.  After gaining planning consent for a dormer loft and ground floor extension spanning the width of the house we contacted Beacon Lofts and Extensions to provide us with project management and construction services.  Beacons  quote was highly competitive and they gave us friendly and helpful advice on how to take the project forward.  Our experience throughout the build was a very positive one with open communication and helpful scheduling with the sub contracts which lead to a very fast build.  The standard of craftsmanship was exemplary with the team of builders suggesting ways to improve the project where they could.  The build team were also very considerate with the children and our need for living space during the construction phase and made the house safe every evening.  Our experience with Beacon has been very positive and we have recommended the company to others.

We instructed Beacon to build our single story extension project in Purley, South London in early 2018. To begin, we liaised with Kieran and he was polite, patient, quick in producing quotes and responding to our questions (which was a big deal for us as we were build-first-timers!). Having started the build in March 2018, the Beacon team finished work less than four months later, which we were really happy with. When building, we were cared for by Gus, the build director. Gus is a very reasonable man and will listen to all your points calmly and patiently. He will ensure the build goes to plan and will always be available on the phone if you have a question or three. The build team, led by Gheorge, was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Gheorge in particular is just fantastic. No issue was ever too big and no problem was ever insurmountable. No matter what the build is, problems will always arise, but Geo and his team deal with them politely, quickly and efficiently. They were such a pleasure to have around that, when the build was finished, my wife actually missed having them in the house! You hear horror stories with builders out there, but in our experience with Beacon over four months, no one ever lost their patience, no one ever expected anything unreasonable from us as customers and – most importantly – we were always able to raise our concerns, if any, without feeling pressured in any way. We would recommend Beacon and Geo’s team wholeheartedly.

When we embarked on our loft conversion project, we invited all the main local loft conversion companies to come up with some ideas and provide a quote and Kieran from Beacon Lofts presented the most creative ideas on how best we could utilise the space. He was also clearly very experienced and knowledgeable, which gave us the confidence that the project would go well. Though it was not the most important factor, his quote was a fair reflection for the work involved with delivering the project. His team who delivered the project were outstanding and the quality of their workmanship could not be faulted. We have already referred other friends onto Beacon and they have been equally satisfied with the project that Beacon have delivered for them.

I would like to thank Beacon and Tom’s team for completing my loft conversion without any stress. Robert and Stascyek are excellent, focused on the works and making progress everyday, and the site is clean and tidy! Highly recommend them.

We chose Beacon for our loft conversion initially on a number of factors: 1) personal recommendations, 2) point of sale service – we met Kieran and at no point was he pushy or arrogant. In fact my experience of him was the opposite, he was unassuming in his explanation of what work could be done and how Beacon would go about doing it. 3) Price – Beacon were not the cheapest but were competitive and most of all we appreciated the transparency in their pricing. From the outset when I met with my Project Manager Radek, I was impressed. We explained that this was our first ever build and I was assured by his attitude. He and his team were thorough, efficient, hugely hard working and courteous. There were a few initial issues with the architectural plans but he was able to quickly offer solutions and was extremely knowledgeable. But what was particularly important to me as a mother of two young children living in the house throughout the entire building project (10 months in total), was their care and consideration for safety around the children. It was apparent that this was of utmost importance to them, and although at times it was a little stressful, my concerns were eased by the teams professionalism. As we neared the completion of our loft conversion we agreed to push on with the rest of the house (all three floors in total) and contracting started on our ground floor extension. Again Kieran was professional and contracting was very straightforward. At no point did I have any concerns about the quality of the building work and many of the sub-contractors used for works such as tiling, plumbing and electrics were of equally high quality. Communication throughout was good and even when challenges did arise, usually with external suppliers like kitchen and floor fitters, both Radek and the office team were on hand and available to offer solutions. We are delighted with our ‘new’home and despite the dust and temporary cramped living quarters we endured, we look back on the process as a relatively easy one, made so by the ‘complete’project management service offered by Beacon.

It’s probably also a good time to let you know how pleased we have been with the way the team have worked over the last couple of months.  Lukasz and Tom have been extremely diligent and a pleasure to have around the house (which is an unexpected bonus).  We are also extremely pleased with how the work is looking” – “Thanks to the whole team for their incredible hard work.
